This Week in Pictures

We bought Wendy a little play place where she can swat at and try to grab various toys. She seems to like it...

This was taken after baby girl slept EIGHT hours and then, after a feeding and a change of diaper, another four. We were all pretty happy that day. 

In case you can't read it it reads "Daddy's Other Chick". She knows what's up. And in order to keep her socks on, I have to tuck her pants into them. Hey, the 80's are coming back right?

She's not always happy though. She has quite the frown. 

Her second Sunday outfit. I took it right after we put her in it because the headband and shoes are quick to fall off. 

Finally, this week we had to put her in 3-6 month pajamas because after a rough night, we realized she couldn't stretch her legs out in her 0-3 month pajamas. I don't have any pictures of her in her new jammies, but they're coming. One more week until her two month check-up!

Fun New Things!

Sleep during the day has been getting less and less but during the night she's been doing great! This was one of the days she was fighting sleep. I looked up and just saw these little eyes fighting to stay open. Silly girl.



She also likes to sleep like this. Don't worry, there is space between her snuggie and her face.


Then there's the times she falls asleep in my arms and if she weren't so heavy I'd hold her as long as she needed to sleep.

I was vacuuming and PJ was watching Wendy in her room. I went in to check on them and this is how I found them. Sleeping on the floor apparently works too.


Wendy had a little photo shoot with this wrap that her grandma was brought home in. Keeping traditions alive!



We had our first day of church with her. She did great and stayed the center of attention.


A woman from church made these shoes. I have always loved red shoes so it's fun Wendy has her first pair of red shoes.


She's also been starting to do fun things like:

Grinning... (Also, cute outfit compliments of great-grandma..)

Finding her tongue (Hard to catch on photo but flip between the two pictures really fast and maybe you can imagine it

Blowing bubbles... (I promise she's not foaming at the mouth)

Finding and tracking her hands...

And her feet..

Watching herself in the mirror...

And really just looking too cute....

Baby Blessing!

So glad we could have family in town when Wendy received her baby blessing. 

And our local ward family to support us. 

She's our little cutie!

Also, thanks to my sister for this dress! This was my niece's blessing dress 5 years ago. time for a photo shoot with little miss in her first white dress.

The actual blessing. 

Dear Heavenly Father, by the Authority of the Melchezidek Priesthood, which we hold, we come together to give this baby a name and a blessing. The name which she will be known by in this life and by the records of the church is Wendy Rebecca Mitchell.

At this time we bless Wendy with a mind that will always seek after truth. We bless her that she will have a desire to swiftly repent. That she will always be able to discern good from evil and truth from darkness.

We bless her at this time that she will have all of the things that she needs to stand before thee sealed to her eternal companion ready to inherit all of the blessings of eternal life and exaltation which thou hast prepared for her. And at this time we do our part in securing these blessings for her in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
