But first, some additional February pictures from Wendy's Preschool!
Wendy's class got to have a Valentine's party. |
Special Valentine's snacks |
and fun decorations! |
Then they distributed the Valentine's they had made for their friends. |
Wendy has always loved jig saw puzzles! |
Trying on some glasses. |
Wendy's class does not usually go to the sand pit so she told me on this day they had an Adventure! |
She loves the sensory station, does not love pictures. |
Wendy is curled up in her teacher, Ms. Suzie's lap for story time. She loves Ms. Suzie! |
Donut date with Lilly while Wendy's at preschool! (We pick up one for Wendy too- don't worry) |
We have been going to birthday parties galore! This was for Wendy's friend Melody. |
PJ started throwing the kids into the foam pit- at their request. |
Afterwards, we had fun near our old apartment at a playground while we ate lunch. |
Lilly loves her filters! |
Mommy bath! |
Having fun with photoshop. |
Off to the park! |
I am working on planning a youth church camp so Lilly had to come with me as I scouted out a zipline location. She became my model, sampling what they had so I could show the girls. |
Chilling by the pool.... |
Lounging in a hammock... |
We got to pay a visit to my friend, Christina who just had a baby! Wendy was pretty excited to hold the babes. |
Rodeo day at preschool! |
We had a warmer afternoon so the kids pretended to go to the pool in our front yard. |
Back to cool and breezy weather and Lilly and I went on a hike while Wendy was at preschool. |
I felt her going kinda limp so I pulled out my phone to check to see if she was asleep. She was on the verge and did not appreciate me peeking. In fact, she asked me to stop walking so she could take a nap. |
Sorry kiddo, no stopping on a hike! |
We got in our best green for St. Patrick's Day. |
Tried to make bath bombs.... |
Wendy is becoming very proficient at climbing trees! |
In Austin, we have bluebonnet wildflowers and people go crazy over them! They're wildflowers so they grow on the sides of the road and people will pull over on the side of the highway to take pictures with them. Luckily, we found these at the Wildflower Center and I snapped a shot with my phone. |
Over Spring break, I took the girls to the San Antonio zoo. We had a lot of fun! |
If you look on the background trellis, there's a monarch butterfly perched there. |
Lilly pulled off a scab on the side of her face and our friend Meagan had a bandaid to help stop the bleeding. |
They were petting a lion head in front of the lion exhibit. |
Then they packed up the lion head and were walking around the park with it like this! |
Lunch time! |
And carousel rides. |
We had to hit the train on the way out. |
Wendy was so excited when she learned the temple was on the way to the zoo. So, we made a pit stop so she could see the temple. They were very reverent when we went inside to see the waiting room and when we got home, they watched the video that was put out that gives a tour of the Rome, Italy temple. |
But this was their favorite thing to do at the temple... |
Wendy showing off her makeup skills. |
Fun new game- box sliding! |
Over spring break Wendy decorated this bird feeder. We haven't had any birds yet... |
But this little guy kept checking it out from the fence. |
We have had humming birds! |
Wendy started soccer with the YMCA so I am officially a soccer mom! |
She gets pretty intimidated by the other kids when they scrimmage but we try to practice with her at home to build her confidence up. |
She plays at an elementary school close to the YMCA and the elementary school has chickens! Lilly loved going over to the chickens. (And then Wendy didn't want to play anymore because she wanted to go see the chickens...) |
Playing dress up |
I did Wendy's make up with mommy make up. She was pretty excited! |
Pulling out the spring dresses for church. |
On a warmer afternoon, we pulled out the splash pad |
In non kid news, I felt like we were in the hood one afternoon when cops flooded into our peaceful little culdesac. Apparently a homeless guy was scoping out the houses in our culdesac and the neighbors called the police and the police caught him. There was fence jumping and everything. A very exciting afternoon in the burbs! |
Off to pick up Wendy where she showed her acrobatic skills. |
One afternoon, I had Baxter join me on the trampoline. |
Wendy found us and kicked us off her trampoline. |
Then PJ came home and showed us how to properly climb a tree. |
Then we all packed up and went to the park. Only, Lilly fell asleep during the 5 minute car ride so I sat with her for a little bit so she could get a cat nap in. No sleeping at the park! |
This is how Wendy got herself dressed for preschool one day. I politely told her she needed to change and she agreed, if only I would take her picture first. |
Another donut date with Lilly! |
Another soccer game and Lilly wanted to wear shin guards with socks too. Once she saw the playground though, she did not want to play soccer. |
Go Wendy Go! |
Then off to another birthday party at a gymnastics studio. |
What a busy month! |
Here are the pictures from Wendy's preschool. Rodeo day! |
Lassoing cows. |
Pin the star on the sheriff. They also had toy horse racing, and a couple other games set up! |
Then the kids got to go to a petting zoo! |
This little goat kept trying to eat Wendy's hair. In fact, the only thing she told me about rodeo day (and the only thing I knew before her teacher posted these pictures) was that the animals kept trying to eat her hair! |
Playing at the playground. |
They started a segment on camping so the kids had a tent in their classroom and made their own fire over which they got to roast marshmallows! |
They made binoculars and went on a nature walk to see what they could see. |
Happy Spring!
