W&L August 2019

I started out the month by painting the girls bathroom and redecorating a little bit. I have the goal this year to repaint the whole house so we'll see how that goes!

Wendy... doing Wendy

I went to whole foods to get some specialty meat and, while we waited for the butcher to cut the meat, the girls had a dance party. As long as they're having fun!

I took Wendy back to school shopping and PJ took Lilly to the park. There's a walking path around the park with exercise machines along the path the girls like to play on. So, here's Lilly exercising:

Taking a break.

Wendy and I got to go shopping for clothes she needed for school.

And get some burgers and ice cream for lunch. Yum!

Lilly and PJ made some smoothies.

Wendy tried on ALL the hair bands at Justice!

Then we all met up and went out to see Toy Story 4.

Lilly's turn!

Lilly trying to drink her water like a dog...

Sister time!

My sister came into town and the girls loved cuddling with her.

We had to take her to Torchy's, of course.

She also had a princess pizza party with the girls where they made their own pizza.

Swimming!

Trying on cowgirl boots.

We were gifted a brick of chocolate dessert from a friend who makes it and sells it locally.

Mural tour! All around downtown Austin, there are murals on the buildings and we went on our own trek to find them.

The view from a patio deck in a store of down town.

Swimming at Barton Creek.

And then the girls had their summer dance recital! They were super cute and loved having their auntie here to watch them.

I was a proud momma too!

Afterwards, their dance teacher let us swim in her neighborhood pool.

Then, Amber left and it was time for PJ's birthday!

It was on a Monday so he had to go to work but we all went out for steak once he got home.

I took the girls to Locomotion to play one day. Lilly loved this Cleopatra outfit.

Wendy loved dressing like a unicorn.

They also love going into the attic!

Another day, a friend invited us to her neighborhood pool.

It had a splash pad and a pool which was really helpful during those 10 minute adult swim breaks.

Wrapping up mommy preschool with crafting our own unicorn horns.

And then it was time for me and Lilly to go back to school shopping and Wendy and PJ to go to the park together.

Wendy getting her exercise in.

While Lilly and I shopped for clothes she needed for school, got lunch, and ice cream :)

Oh, and her precious LOL doll.

And then we found ourselves back in the ice cream shop later that day. We just can't stay away!

Lilly in the preacher's chair on Sunday.

One of our final pool playdates before the end of summer!

It became harder and harder to entertain the girls as the public schools started two weeks before the girls started preschool. So, the local grocery store was offering free delivery until October and I took them up on their service! They brought the groceries in, set them on my counter, and then PJ and I unpacked them in 5 minutes flat. That's the way to grocery shop!

Dentist appointment.

Still looking for things to do with the kiddos, I decided to have a baking day. So we made a bunch of these cupcakes and delivered them to different friends in town.

Wendy showing off her bling bling ring.

Lilly received her "Welcome back to school" postcard from her teacher!

Wendy got hers too! We're so close!!

Splash pad playdate.

To celebrate the end of summer (and a possible promotion of PJ at work), we went to Dave and Busters to eat and play games.

Lilly trying on PJ's glasses.

And Wendy caught a stomach bug from Dave and Busters (we're pretty sure). She was down for a day but recovered nicely.

Making playdough cupcakes.

#therealLillyMitchell Seriously, this picture sums her up so well.

As does this one. Helping baby Miles learn how to walk.

Wendy and Lilly put their play chairs on the couch and thus created royal thrones for themselves.

Chikfila date.

And then Lilly was down for the count. Luckily they both got sick before school started and before our family vacation!

and finally, #therealWendyMitchell. I gave Wendy a chocolate chip during bath one night and she thought it was funny to show PJ what it looked like all chewed up. She looks absolutely terrifying, however!
