W&L February 2020

A neighbor gifted us with some gift cards and so we went and tried out a new restaurant. The girls were not fans but that's no surprise!

There was a strange statue in the girls room that slightly terrified Wendy. She overcame her fears though.

Riding in the electric car! I think they might be outgrowing it...

We started February with a bang by celebrating Wendy's birthday. Her actual birthday was on a Tuesday so we had a family celebration that day with gifts from us and her grandparents!

We brought these cupcakes to school so she could celebrate with her friends as well.

Our annual picture!

When she got home from school, her teacher from church came and brought her ice cream.

Then we played with one of her new presents!

Once daddy came home, we went out to fancy dinner.

And per tradition, Lilly became ill. Last year she had some bug and didn't even get to the restaurant. This year she seemed to have an allergic reaction to nutella. Hopefully all Wendy will remember is that we had a good time!

I took Lilly home so PJ and Wendy had fun taking pictures while waiting for dessert.

Happy Birthday Wendy!

Then we had a freak snow storm! Can't you see all the snow!?

Wellness check for Wendy. I think she's getting a little too big for the toys at the pediatrician's office.

I finished a project (with PJ's help) to help us be more organized.

Prepping for Wendy's birthday party!

She loves rainbows right now so we made rainbow fruit kabobs. They were actually very popular! (As were the marshmallow "clouds")

A friend of mine made Wendy's cake and she hit it out of the park!

All the eats.

Wendy having a blast!

And some of the friends who came.

Make a wish girlie!

And her new stuffed animal.

We brought all the presents that her friends gave to her home to open. Her friends were very generous! We worked on Thank You cards all afternoon.

We also dog watched a friend's dog while they went to Hawaii. The dog is as big as Baxter but was only 8 mos old!

She kept us (and Baxter) busy and reminded us of what it was like to have a younger, more energetic dog.

I made some sugar cookies for Lilly's school party as well as for friends.

When the girls got home from school, I asked who they wanted to give them to and we drove around for an hour to deliver some love.

Our Valentine's family dinner! Heart shaped Ravioli, broccoli, and a molten lava cake from Costco.

Valentine's from me and PJ to the girls and each other.

Dressed up and Valentine ready!

PJ took me out to a new restaurant in the evening.

Wendy helping with the trash.

On President's Day while the kids were out of school, we found some discounted tickets to the Austin Zoo and had fun exploring and feeding the animals there!

Lilly finally worked up her courage once most of the animal food was gone.

The girls were troopers while we waited almost an hour to ride the train.

We got to see a lion all stretched out!

All my monkeys!

Since school is out in June for Father's Day, the Preschool does a daddy day in February. So PJ got to go to school twice to be sung to by the girls and have donuts with them. Wendy was first.

Donut sugar high!

Then it was Lilly's turn. She likes to drink her water like Baxter...

When I got them home, Wendy wanted to dress Lilly up and do her make up. It was slightly terrifying but Wendy was so proud!

Learning how to make toast.

Another day of terrifying makeovers. This time Wendy said they were the witchy sisters.

I finished painting in the Master bedroom and had the painters come in to finish the ceilings.

They also painted the walls in the living room and dining room and I traded out furniture to update just a little bit.

Austin has a ton of murals hiding up and down certain streets so, while Lilly was in preschool, I wanted to take Wendy on an adventure to find some murals!

We also found a jewelry store that offers half off prices during your birthday month as well as some sweet treats.

Wendy picked out a necklace and I told her I would keep it in my room for safe keeping. She loves her special necklace!

"Come and take it!"

And what's winter in Austin without bathing suits and sprinklers!

The girls playing a "rescue the animals" game. If you look closely, you'll see their stuffed animals in the tree and they're trying to get them down. February was fun but busy! I hope March slows down just a little bit!
