W&L September 2020

More sneaky pictures of Lilly sleeping.

I *try* to wake up before the girls so I can read my scriptures but Lilly often wakes up with me. She got my phone and started snapping pictures while I read.

Very artsy, Lilly!

Lilly started preschool September 2 and has been adjusting well to her new school!

Jumping from stone to stone into school.

Wendy waiting with me to get some Torchy's for lunch.

Lilly's style!

Climbing the ladder into the attic is one of their favorite past times.

Some more homeschool with Wendy.

This one perplexed me. She did not fall asleep wearing that dress, in fact it was in her dirty laundry basket. And yet, when I checked on her, she had it wrapped around her head. I tried to take it off but it was pretty secure!

We started trying some new restaurants around Austin. This was a Neapolitan pizza place that was super yummy!

Gotta love a photo op!

Evening bike rides to burn off that extra energy.

A playdate with old friends! They were pretending to fish off the bed of this truck.

Suited up and ready to ride!

Wendy has been loving going to the gym with me and playing with the child watch instructors. She's usually the only kiddo in there so she gets all the toys- and attention!

Back at the dentist to fill some cavities.

Lilly got home from preschool one day and immediately started running in the rain.

Another day at child watch.

For our "social studies", we have been getting a snack box that has snacks from a different country every month. Our first box was from Egypt so this is us trying to write in ancient Egyptian.

One morning PJ came out of the house to throw something in the big trash can outside and found this baby rattle snake. We did our best to kill it but it slithered somewhere hopefully far away from here.

Park fun!

Dressed for *home* church!

Lilly built this house for her Princess Anna Barbie doll out of Legos.

Another evening walk and Lilly decided to have a dance party on this big grate.

Wendy took a turn too.

Aww, one of the sweeter finds.

For science we have been getting a science subscription box. The September box was all about candy and the girls loved the science experiments!

This was the first one we did. Even though the colors of the M&Ms dissolved off, the "m's" floated to the top!

Checking out Halloween decorations around the neighborhood.

Baxter cuddling with Wendy one night.

Another science experiment: trapping the gas from mixing popping candy and coca cola in a balloon.

We decided, somewhat on a whim, to redo the landscaping in our front yard. It turned into a much bigger project than we anticipated but the end result was worth it!

Trying a new restaurant for my birthday and they brought out this beautiful dessert platter!

The girls' presents to me: flowers and cookies :)

Wendy helping to shovel the rock into the wheelbarrow.

And the end result! Hopefully our grass will stay green all summer next year.

And our last experiment of the month: dissolving gobstoppers. This was a neat experiment because no matter how long the gobstoppers sat, the colors never mixed. Science! With candy!
