W&L December 2020

Dressed up in their Christmas jams... to go play outside!

Had to document running farther into the neighborhood than I usually do. A nice 10K to start the weekend!

Shopping for Christmas decor. The girls were obsessed with nutcrackers this year!

We found this cool photo op at the mall!

PJ also got a new TV. It's huge.

Like, so big.

Wendy is a great tree climber but found one that couldn't handle the action! She was climbing this tree and it broke right in half!

Creeping on Lilly sleeping some more.

That huge white thing? Some of the packaging of PJ's TV!

My friend started selling homemade challah bread and I just had to try some. It is delicious!

Christmas cookies had me wondering what day it was. All said, about 500 made!

I have about 500 cookie pictures but I did want to document such a nice flooding!

PJ getting festive... to go downstairs and work.

In the car pick up lane waiting for Wendy and Lilly turned this iPad mount into a camera.

More cookies...

I made some Hanukkah cookies for a few of my Jewish friends.

I mean hours and hours of cookies.

After about 4 hours of icing, I called in some help. I know now- don't sell 500 cookies in two weeks!

The girls were on their own while I was icing which meant a lot of iPad time.

Almost done with week 1 of Christmas cookies!

200 cookies packaged and ready for pick up.

Lilly's perspective behind the camera.

Some more creeping- I thought it was so cute she was sleeping with her "little Lilly" doll!

My awesome sister gifted me with this cookie tray rack so I didn't have to have cookie pans covering my counters for days. Thanks Sis! (and Thanks PJ for putting it together)

Park days in December with shorts!

It broke my heart when the girls came up to me and said "mommy, can we have a cookie??" and I tried to explain to them that people paid me to make these cookies. They tried to problem solve by then asking "is this enough to buy a cookie??"

PJ sleeps with 3 blankets at night. I sleep with one. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when those heat flashes kick in!

Yay for Cookie Carts!

And the last of the 200+ cookies packaged and ready for pick up. As you can see, that was my whole life for two weeks. Without the pictures PJ took, I wouldn't know what we did during those days!

Afternoon nap with daddy! (Well, PJ was sleeping anyway...)

The kids' church leaders gifted the girls these awesome Christmas glasses. Wendy just couldn't help herself to make silly faces in them!

Our neighbors love on our girls to no end. This was a gift from Sherry- snow men crafting materials so they could make their own snowmen!

Christmas Sunday!

The girls kept buys coloring while I played the organ.

Oh and Lilly took 500 pictures just like this one.

Oh, here's one with PJ!

Off to a park to play!

The Costco crowd the Monday before Christmas!

We stocked up so we didn't have to go out for another week or so!

Trying to capture early morning cuteness and ended up blinding them.

Hooray for rope swings!

Having dinner at a local diner: Kerby Lane. The girls loved having (huge) pancakes for dinner!

Grandma came to visit for Christmas! It was a long trip though....

Out to dinner for some Texas BBQ and playing at the Galleria.

Cheese!

Christmas Eve means Christmas pajamas! (They also get popcorn and chocolate milk in their boxes)

This might be the last year I'll be able to hide presents in plain site. Wendy is learning to read pretty quickly!

PJ swinging with Little Lilly.

Exploring in the woods.

Campfire after dinner! These girls get so hyper after they eat but it was cold so we problem solved.

Christmas morning! Baxter and Lilly found their toys first.

Wendy is very pensive when opening presents. I think she went slowly to make sure she didn't miss anything. But here was a glimpse of the joy she had inside!

I celebrated Christmas by going on an *almost* 9 mile run! And then hit the kitchen to start cooking Christmas dinner.

Building the Hot Wheels city garage!

And singing Happy Birthday to Jesus!

We took the cake to the park where it was really windy. As Wendy was finishing up her piece, the wind blew the plate up and surprised us all!

Lilly found herself a comfy place to play on her iPad.

Playing with her new Playdoh set!

After Christmas was over, we had one more week to entertain the girls before school started back. So, off to Locomotion we go!

We were some of the only families there and the girls had a blast!

Even PJ had fun...

Wendy was so excited to find this cheer leader costume. Her main goal is becoming a cheer leader right now!

PJ and I got to duck out for a lunch date too. First one in months!

Another day we introduced the girls to ice skating!

They needed the "helpers" at first.

They had a few falls but always got right back up to keep learning!

After a while they got the hang of it!

But still fell a little.

Go Wendy go!

Lilly loves to cuddle up at the end of the day but it was especially sweet when she insisted on holding my hand (thumb) too.

Curled up with daddy under his electric blanket to watch Dragon Ball Z at the end of the day!

Where's Wendy?

And New Years Eve! Our friends invited us over to blow some stuff up and we all had... a blast!

And the last major development of 2020- Wendy lost her 3rd tooth! Happy New Year!
