Wendy & Lilly: May 2021

For Easter Day at Preschool, Lilly wanted to be made into a bunny.

I was happy to oblige!

The girls still have epic Bubble Bath nights once a week!

The girls also had 3 Easter egg hunts this year! This was with the neighborhood kiddos!

Bubbles were soon to follow.

The girls will get on Roblox on their iPads and sit together and play the same game, talking strategies and loving playing in whatever pretend world they come up with virtually.

They had fun opening their treats!

And our sweet neighbor gifted them these butterfly wings they could decorate.

Then they were dressed and ready to hunt Easter eggs!

It was early y'all.

A little later we got into our Easter Sunday best and took pictures!

Then we changed again and had a Cascarones fight :)

Baxter got to pick the meat of the Ham bone. It was a great day for everyone!

Lilly's sweet Sunday school teachers gifted her this dress. She was so excited to wear it to preschool!

Wendy got home from school one day and immediately wanted to play "Go Noodle" from her school iPad with Lilly. Go Noodle is an app with tons of fun dance and exercise videos for kiddos.

PJ took the girls rock climbing one weekend and everyone loved it!

Followed up with a Sonic blast, of course!

It is slowly warming up here so we got out the water balloons for the girls.

Once they were done they got out their camp chairs and wrapped up in towels so they could warm up. I think we're ready for the beach!

More Go Noodling!

Baxter had a playdate with a doggie friend and was beat. Wendy set up her stuffies all around him so he would be more comfortable.

Apple got their hands on some vaccinations so we went to the drive through vaccine site! It was an odd experience for sure but we were grateful Apple made the process easy.

We finally finished these butterfly wings! The girls had fun pretending to be butterflies for a little bit.

Then Lilly took the left over jewels and pretended she had chicken pox.

We let the girls come to youth night and the theme was "pet night". Here is Wendy holding someone's hedgehog.

Lilly decided the couch and recliners were not good enough but the basket of blankets was the perfect place to sit!

She also wanted to earn money for a game on her iPad so she got in her cleaning best...

And helped PJ clean the fridge.

I have been making lots of cookies but these have been my favorite for the month. They took a really long time but I love how they turned out!

Date nights look different these days...

At the park doing our ride around the park and stopping at the work out gear!

I got my pass to our neighborhood pool so we got suited up to see if we could get in.

It was open!

But the water was freezing so the girls mostly stayed in the kiddie pool.

PJ took a little cat nap.

Then we were off to the Great Wolf Lodge! The girls could not wait to get out of the car and into the water park. Here, they are hanging out the windows looking for PJ to come back from checking in.

Lilly went down one of the kiddie slides and we were so proud of her! (She's not a risk taker)

Our room was finally ready so we went to go check it out!

Wendy and I went back to the water park and Lilly and PJ checked out the arcade.

The next morning they were up at 6 but nothing opened until 9 so they were chomping at the bit to get in to the water park!

I finally convinced Lilly to go on the family water slide with Wendy and I and bribed her with ice cream. I was proud of her for going! But she swore off slides afterwards.

We took the girls to PF Changs for dinner one night. PJ and I were hankering for something other than burgers and pizza!

After playing for a couple of hours in the water park, Lilly needed a break. So I gave her my noise cancelling air pods, played some meditation music, and wrapped her up in a towel.

Magi Quest! This is a "magical" quest that takes you up and down all 8 stories of the resort... over and over again. We allowed the girls to have sugar right before we started these quests so they'd have the energy to climb those stairs!
