W&L March 2023

The girls joined me at parent/teacher conferences and waited in the hallway while I spoke to their teachers. They built this huge tower and had fun crushing it!

We couldn't find Lilly at this birthday party at Urban Air and then, someone pointed up at the top of this climbing feature. I said "Lilly! Are you going to jump!?"

She said "yup!" and jumped right down! I think her fear of big kid attractions is starting to wane.

Wendy on the other hand was zooming around on this zip line.

After Lilly hosted Mass!

She sure loves her teacher!

I couldn't find PJ one Sunday afternoon and came outside to do something. There he was. Asleep on the bench.

Spring break started off with a taco hike! The girls joined me on a 4.5 mile hike to a taco restaurant.

After we ate, we caught an Uber back to our car. PJ's going to join us next time!

Another Spring Break adventure: an indoor water park!

Prepping for St. Patrick's Day, the girls built leprechaun traps and I set up a treasure hunt.

The girls made leprechaun treats too.

Then we had some St. Patrick's Day games such as "pin the leprechaun on the rainbow". PJ didn't even get the leprechaun on the rainbow!

Later in the week Wendy and PJ took a bike ride out to the 45 trail and the bluebonnets were in full bloom!

Lilly and I played outside and I pushed her as high as I could on the tree swing.

When Wendy got home, she climbed up the rope to the top of the tree.

Baxter just lived his best life.

Lilly helped me build this sugar cube temple.

And we enjoyed an early Easter Egg hunt!

Lilly is quite the little reader. It was quiet in the house and I looked over and saw her reading away!

W&L February 2023

As February's go in Austin, TX, we had a major ice storm. The trees across the city got too heavy with ice and branches broke off which then broke power lines.

PJ turned his electric car into a generator and we ran our gas fireplace to keep warm.

The car was enough to power iPads and lamps for the evening and we had electricity when we woke up the next day!

Prepping for Wendy's birthday party with these paint-your-own "8" cookies!

And we had a spa night with the masks we got for Christmas.

It's finally the day! Wendy's birthday! And it started with presents. The main present she wanted? Her very own jar of Nutella!

We went to Claire's to get her ears pierced.

And then we were off to church for her baptism! We are so grateful for all our friends who came out to support Wendy!

Party time!

The girls painted a step stone, their cookie, and ate pizza. Then it was "anything goes" while they jumped and slid on the bouncy house and played in the playroom inside.

Wendy and Lilly got some extra slides in before church the next day before the bouncy house was taken away.

I started teaching cookie decorating classes at the girls' school. The kids had a blast!

The girls' school also hosted a Daddy Daughter dance for Valentine's Day.

Park time!

And our Valentine's Day celebration ended with some chocolate fondue!

We were so excited to see Aladdin on stage!

It was such a popular show we couldn't get four seats together. So Lilly and I sat together...

And PJ and Wendy sat together. It was such a good show!

Time for a hair cut!

Wendy dressed up as Charles Dickens for a book character parade at school.

Another nature hike! This time the girls wanted to pose.

And the little bunny had to get in on the action too...

Lilly going zen...

Bunny going zen...

Together!

That's a wrap on February 😴
