16 Months!

Wendy's 15 month stats:

Weight: 21 lb 15.5 oz (60%)
Height: 32.13" (92%)
Head Circumference: 18.23" (67%)

We have been having a lot of fun while getting ready for Lilly to make her appearance. She dropped last Friday and I've been having contractions off and on since so we'll see if we actually make it to June 28!

Wendy transitioned to one nap. I knew she wasn't napping during her second nap time anymore because I turned on the monitor to check on her and found her like this. Such a strange little girl!

Wendy sporting a new outfit from Great-Grandma.

She was pretty excited about it.

My sister painted a picture for both Lilly and Wendy. This is the one in Lilly's room.

And for Wendy-bird!

We have been working on remodeling the guest bathroom and finally finished. PJ tiled the floor, we replaced the countertop and painted the vanity. My sister also painted the peach picture in the corner. She calls it "Georgia on my Mind".

PJ had a bike accident in which, miraculously, nothing was broken or severely hurt. This is what he looked like when I got to the ER. They had his neck in a brace just in case until they could get a scan of his neck.

Wendy found my twine and was able to get all wrapped up in it.

Big ol' pregnant lady with her cute daughter!

One of my friend's recently had a baby and her son is Wendy's age so I offered to watch him while she was in the hospital. Wendy loved having a play buddy.

Baxter was pretty excited too.

Mother's day pictures!

She doesn't leave the hair accessories in her hair for long so we have to snap a picture quick before she takes it out. Another outfit via Great-Grandma.

Classic Wendy face.

My gifts for Mother's Day- Wendy's hand print, Baxter's paw print, and a new pendant for my necklace. Also, fresh flowers from our rose bushes.

At church they always hand out presents for moms on Mother's Day. I was able to score a Mr. Goodbar.

The wrapper was pretty cleaver too.

Another day playing with twine and her books.

Going on a bike ride with Daddy!

We always give Wendy some milk when she wakes up. This particular day, PJ started rubbing her feet as she was drinking and, when he would stop, she would lift her foot up trying to find his hand to get him to continue. Just  like momma!

We had a neighborhood-wide yard sale PJ wanted to check out so he and Wendy went biking around to look for deals.

Wendy has started to climb up on the piano bench and play the piano. Sometimes she even "sings" while she "plays".

Guess I'll have to teach her the ropes!

Another Sunday dress, this time thanks to my mom. She bought this for my niece when she was Wendy's age.

Another day, PJ was trying to take a nap and Wendy thought he was playing with her.

At one point, Wendy hit his face to wake him up and PJ was scolding her. Wendy turned and gave me this look. So mischievous!

One day, relaxing after dinner laying on Baxter.

Wendy's new fashion design: wear all of Baxter's leashes around your neck!

I think she was also pretending to walk Baxter.
One of our adventures brought us to the state capitol where they allow you to go into the Governor's office and take pictures.

Wendy's friend though she needed some help in Governing.

Proof that public service is hard, she passed out on the way home.
Wendy has started mimicking us a lot more which is great for teaching her things like teeth-brushing!

She has also started trying to wear my shoes. They aren't huge shoes to fill, but a little big for her yet.

Wendy also tries to help sweep from time to time.

Daddy trying to teach Wendy some tunes.

Wendy figuring out the selfie.

One Sunday, when we were trying to catch up with family, Wendy was not happy that the attention was not on her. The only way PJ could talk on the phone in peace was to put Wendy on his shoulders and pace around.

I think she was a little confused.
Since I have been less able to move and do things with Wendy, we have been watching a little more TV. She completely zones out when her shows are on.

She gets particularly excited when Elmo is on!

And sometimes she melts into the couch to be a couch potato with the rest of us.
We have bushes in the front of our yard which I had no idea what they were until they started blooming this spring. We apparently have peony bushes! And I harvested enough for a small wedding.

We still venture to the park pretty often and Wendy has become very good at climbing up and sliding down by herself.

Also, the outfit is thanks to my mom!

Wendy's memorial day outfit!

Getting ready for church one Sunday!

The dress is thanks to Great-Grandma.

She was so cute!

And then melted down. Teething is hard!
During Memorial Day weekend, we took Wendy to a splash pad to see if she would play in it.

She was pretty unsure of the water.

She would touch it....

And then run away!

Try again...

In all fairness, the water was pretty cold.

Try one more time?

Nope, she's out of here.

I tried to get her to splash in it too...

I touched it with her...

She realized it was still cold...

And ran away.

But she loved the slide!

Eventually, after getting hot and watching all the other kids enjoy themselves, she started playing in it.

We turned Wendy's chair around in the car and I think it rocked her world a little bit. She seems to like riding in the car a lot more now though.

One night after dinner, reading books with daddy.

We tried a different splash park on a particularly hot day and Wendy was much more willing to play in it.

She was drenched!
Wendy trying on hats at Wal-Mart.

One day when I was trying to relax and turned on a show for Wendy, she was able to get her pants off and decided to try to climb into the entertainment center.

Not quite big enough for you kiddo!

Pool day!

Wendy had a lot of fun splashing and walking around in the kiddie portion of the pool. The life vest was really hand too if she fell, it made her fall backwards.

Playing in her float for a little bit.

Trying to sit on the step but got a little stuck.

Discovering selfies again.

The sprinkler system at home is a little strong for her to play in, but she tries.

She started checking it out....

And then decided it wasn't as much fun as it seemed it would be.

"Where did the sprinklers go?"

Baxter trying to catch a squirrel.

One of the rocking chairs we have broke while we were watching Wendy play outside so PJ made a scooter out of the piece that broke off.

Wendy thought it was pretty cool.

Vroom Vroom!

Sometimes I let Wendy play outside by herself while I sit and watch inside where it's cool. This is what she tends to come inside looking like- a dirt monster!
I made cookies one night and PJ taught Wendy how to "help".

I think she was in heaven.

That's the way to get all the dough out!

That's the rocking chair that broke.

Helping mommy play the piano!

Sometimes, in order to cook dinner, I've just got to sit down.
The other day a friend hosted a swim party with a bunch of kiddie pools and water tables. Wendy must have gotten thirsty because she seemed more interested in drinking the water shooting up through the pool!

A Sunday dress my niece wore when she was Wendy's age. I think she knows she has her daddy in the palm of her hand.
