25 Days of Christmas

For the Christmas season, we do an activity every day leading up to Christmas:

Day 1: Stake Christmas Concert

PJ and I were able to participate in a Southwest Austin Christmas Concert where we sang in the choir. It was a great way to usher in the Christmas season! Here's a link to the video if you would like to listen:https://youtu.be/XCU-FdP1geQ 

Day 2: Christmas Town

We went to Fredricksburg, TX, a small town in Texas which has Christmas parades every night and a Christmas store open year round. There were a lot of cute little shops downtown and one even had an "old timey" horse Wendy was able to ride!

Day 3: 1st Presidency Christmas Devotional

Day 4: Make Christmas Cards

Day 6: Christmas Dance Party:

After a while, the girls just wanted to be held as we danced. At least some of us got a workout!

Day 7: Look for Lights

It actually snowed in Texas! How fun is it that this activity lined up on a night that it was snowing. Viewing the lights was extra special.

Day 8: Luminations at the Wildflower Center

There's a type of botanical garden here but the only flowers planted are wildflowers. The Center lit up the gardens at night, had some live music, and other activities the public could participate in. 

In the middle of one of the maze gardens was this huge frog. Wendy loved riding on it...

Lilly, not so much. 

We ended the adventure with cookies for all :)

Day 9: Painting with Santa

Wendy did pretty good talking with Santa over the course of the hour we were there, but she hid from him every single time he came by. 

Lilly will take a hug from anyone, even Santa. 

Finally, Wendy gave him a hug too. 

The girls got to paint candy cane ornaments and we all contributed to a family plate.

Day 10: Christmas cookies for HT/VT Families

Day 12: Dollar Store Stocking Shopping

Day 13: Christmas Lights

Pile in!

We were able to see a house light show. 

And walk through a maze of 800,000 lights!

Day 14: Make Snowflakes

Day 15: Christmas Movie (April's pick)
I picked the Muppet Christmas Carole of course!

Day 16: Zilker Lights

Every year, the city of Austin puts up lights all around this huge park called Zilker park. We bought tickets to go this night and it got rained out. Then, when we tried to go the following week, it was also rained out. We'll have to try again next year!

Day 17: Christmas Cookies for Neighbors

Headed out to the culdesac to deliver cookies!

The kids were excited to see the dog at the first house we went to

Day 18: Christmas Coloring

Day 19: Gingerbread Houses

Day 20: Christmas Movie (PJ's Pick)
He picked Frosty!

Day 21: Walmart Stocking Shopping

Day 22: Zilker Re-do :(

Day 23: Look for Lights
We went to show Grandma Kelly the light show and wonderful light display!

Day 24: Make Cookies for Santa & Jesus Cake (and kids get Christmas pajamas)

Day 25: Merry Christmas! (Open Presents)
