Wendy & Lilly November 2020

Lilly doing her morning shave to get ready for the day.

The candy haul from Halloween! Admittedly, PJ and I were trying to pack our car for a quick getaway to the beach so I was trying to keep the girls busy by asking them to sort their candy.

People were so generous this year but PJ and I weren't sure what to do with all this candy. I let the girls pick one candy from each pile to keep and then bagged up the rest to worry about after vacation. After they ate their fill and I snuck some pieces, we gave the rest of it to the homeless.

PJ packed up the car and left some space for Baxter to chill during the car ride.

And we were off!

Vacation time! In the elevator bringing up our stuff.

At the beach!
We couldn't wait to get out of the car and in to the water.

We went back to the apartment for some dinner, donned our wetsuits, and got back to it!

Can you beat the beach sunsets?

Once the sun went down the beach got really cold so we went swimming at what was supposed to be a heated pool.

It wasn't but Wendy still had some fun.

Next day we were waiting for it to warm up enough to go swimming so we played at the playground.

Lunch time! At the real heated pool...

Once it got over 70 degrees, we were back at the beach! Baxter protected us from the rising tide.

Fun was had by all!

Next day I got to go out for a run all by myself.

Picture from our balcony.

And breakfast while on vacation! We don't say no much on vacation...

Baxter enjoyed the dog park they had in the complex too. We were never able to meet another dog there but he sure smelled them!

Playing with the large lawn games they had on property.

And back to the *heated* pool!

And then back to the beach!

The girls wanted to have fancy dinner so we got all dressed up once the sun went down and went out to dinner.

Our last day at the beach the weather was perfect!

Packing up the apartment to get checked out on time.

But they can't check us out of the beach! We stayed for a couple more hours before we showered off and went home.

It was the perfect get away and we can't wait to go back!
Back home to crazy bubble baths!

And park workout equipment.

I couldn't find PJ one Sunday until I found him like this. Parenting is tiring!
Swinging!

While waiting to pick up Wendy in the car line at her school, I looked over and Lilly was getting spruced up.

Perfect!

On our way in to gymnastics one day they had a Santa up. We had to grasp the opportunity to take a picture with him!

We downsized Wendy's bed so I got her a new *smaller* bed spread. She was super excited!

Lilly woke up and looked like a mad scientist one day. I don't know what she does in her sleep but dang girl!

I was asked to make cookies for a youth retreat and was so flattered! I think they turned out OK and they tasted delicious!

Wendy dressed Lilly and wanted to take pictures.

I'm guessing Lilly turned the camera on Wendy and she was not pleased....

Playing at the park!
Pretending to mow the leaves with her scooter.

The fort Wendy built all by herself.
Watching the girls at gymnastics. I don't usually have PJ there with me!

How I find Wendy some mornings when I go to wake her up from school. It's almost too hard to wake her up with her looking so peaceful!

Maybe she's so tired from rough housing?

I took a leap of faith and took orders for Thanksgiving themed cookies. I had 12 orders and it was a fun experiment!

Lilly bundled herself up like this before bed one night. It was too bizarre and funny not to document.
Tarzan-Wendy climbing trees!

My first order of Thanksgiving cookies completed!
The girls having a picnic in our driveway.

Lilly can decorate anything to make it cute. Even this here electricity meter on the side of our house!
Finishing up the last of the Thanksgiving cookies!

I had such great feedback I decided to take orders for Christmas too!

All the orders ready to go out!

Make a wish!

Playing in the sand pit at the park.
The girls got to put their trees up first! This is Wendy's.

And Lilly's.
Getting the lights ready!

Lilly wanted to help....

PJ took it over though.

Looking good bud!

And our Thanksgiving dinner! We bought an already smoked Turkey from Costco (and warmed it up in our smoker), and I made mac and cheese, stuffing, roasted Brussels Sprouts and cranberry sauce.
And pumpkin spice mousse for dessert!

All lit up!
There's always time for tree climbing.

Aaaand the aftermath of Thanksgiving dinner...
Wendy was a great helper this year putting up Christmas decorations!

And both girls were really helpful in hanging the ornaments!
My Christmas designs for people to place orders!

Playing at the park.
PJ decided to get in on the fun.

Wipe out!

The week after Thanksgiving the school board decided to make all students do school from home so we had a week of virtual school. Wendy mostly enjoyed it but missed playing with her friends.
