12 Months = 1 Year!

It's so fun to look back over this blog to see what has transpired in a year. Wendy is so much fun and some personality traits that are popping out consist of being independent and curious as well as kind and helpful. One of her favorite things to do with her toys is to take everything out and then put them back. As she puts things back inside the container they came from, shell clap and I make sure to say "Thank you Wendy!" so she knows I LOVE this game! She is still an adventurous eater and has at least two teeth coming in. Now for some pictures!

Still over Christmas break, Wendy was keeping PJ company while he was practicing the piano. 

We typically keep the door to our room closed but I allow Wendy to play in there if I'm in there. One day I was putting our clothes away after doing laundry and she went right to  Baxter's kennel. Silly girl!

Aaand this is why we don't allow her in our room. Wouldn't she figure the same thing is in the box? Why does she have to take them all out!

One day while I was cleaning I realized I hadn't heard Wendy in a little while so I poked my head into her room. She was just sitting in her diaper box reading her books!

She sees Baxter come in and out of the door but luckily only sticks her head out (so far).

He always has this look on his face like "Yes, I'm putting up with her..." Just wait little buddy, there's about to be two of them!

Sometimes when I check in on her she looks so cute while she sleeps. This was one of those days. And I can't figure out how she sleeps like that!

We upgraded Wendy to take baths in the big bath and packed away the infant tub until the next baby is born. This was before we could get it in the shed, she played with in it most of the day!

Pulled all of her books and toys off the shelf, sat on top of the mess, and began reading her book.

Back at the little gym, playing with hoola hoops this time.

She would walk on the balance beam (assisted) and then I would help her jump into this thing. We were playing hide and seek and this was when she popped up. "There she is!"

But nothing can catch her attention when the balls are out.

Now for birthday pictures! Wendy loves citrus so I made a lemon cake with a lemon curd filling and a lemon and orange whipped cream frosting. 

When she woke up we christened her with her tiara and the birthday button PJ and I have worn on our birthday ever since we worked at Disney World.

She found the orange and the banana and kept trying to eat them. They're fake kiddo!

It was a really fast slide!

But she loved it! Went down it three times. 

Once we got home, Wendy went down for a nap and we set up her toys and balloons so she could play when she woke up. 

She was amazed- Didn't even drink her milk which she always does right after she wakes up!

Baxter wanted to play too but his way of playing is to pop all the balloons. 

She treated her balloons like she does the balls at the little gym. 

Her "throne" for dinner and cake. 

She was a little slow to dig in to the cake, but once she got started there was no stopping her!

What a fun first birthday! We're looking forward to many, many more!
