W: 3yo; L: 2!!

For the first week of June, Wendy was in a dance camp so I got to spend some one on one time with Lilly. While we were playing in the park one day, she said something about ice cream and I said "Do you want to go get some ice cream?" She got really excited as she exclaimed "Yes!!" We didn't tell sister...

Wendy got her face painted multiple times at dance camp. This day it was a cat!

Bedtime stories.

Next day she got her face painted as a dog.

Daddy putting in some Barbie time.

Lilly trying on her Halloween costume.

Wendy wanted a try but she wasn't thrilled.

PJ's costume fits!!

Wendy posing one morning in her "cool kid" outfit.

Performance day!

Lilly wanted in on the picture too.

While we were waiting for the performance to begin, Lilly wanted to play in a business office next door to the dance studio, riding the elevator up and walking down the stairs.

There's the star right before the performance!

Starting position.

This whole dance is to "How Far I'll Go" from Moana. "I've been staring at the edge of the...."

"water long as I can remember never really knowing why"

"I wish I could be the perfect daughter but"

"I come back to the water no matter how hard I try"

"Every turn I take, every trail I track every path I make..."

"Every road leads back to the place I know where I cannot go where I long to be"

"See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me"

"and no one knows..."

"How far it goes"

"I know everybody on this island..."

"Seems so happy on this island, everything is by design"

"I know everybody on this island has a role on this island, so maybe I can roll with mine"

Chorus (Wendy's favorite part)

Repeat chorus

Bravo girlie!! (Lilly wanted to be in on the group picture as well)

Trying to get these girls in bed and they're attacking me instead!

Dress up!

Baxter sun bathing.

Wendy trying on my new high heels.

Pool time! Spraying on the sun screen.

Wendy being a little dramatic when it was time to go back in.

Lilly walking into church

And home from church!

We met up with some friends at the public library down town. They had this huge chess board for the kids to play on.

As well as this clever activity to encourage kids to build with pool noodles and tooth picks.

It kind of looked like a torture project when it was all done.

Lilly playing in the window.

Playing with the toys in the library.

They had a neat "porch" the kids could sit outside and eat snacks on.

Ride 'em cowgirl!

Climbing on the clever benches outside.

And Wendy got some Rapunzel hair! Now she doesn't have to hold blankets/towels behind her as we play Rapunzel.

Trying to play dress up with Baxter isn't as much fun...

He is not impressed. But looks more Austin!

In an attempt to make mornings go a bit more smoothly (especially when Wendy starts preschool), I made this board of the things Wendy needs to do in order to get ready. So far she has really enjoyed putting the stickers on and doesn't fight me on everything when getting ready in the morning!

She is so proud of her board!

Daddy's home dance!!

Different day, different playdate with friends.

The girls still think it's such a treat to watch shows on phones. It usually keeps them quiet and not fighting for at least 20 minutes.

Father's day presents!! (This is what happens when you have a house full of girls- no blue bags!)

Wendy and Lilly helping PJ open his gift.

We made him a shirt...

And bought him a mug!

"2 reasons I love being a daddy: Wendy and Lilly"

And then a booster in case he needed it.

Wendy is learning how to "shave" her face with PJ.

And of course Lilly wanted in on the action.

We went out to get steak for a Father's Day dinner.

And PJ asked for a chocolate pound cake for desert. Easy to please!

Annual Father's Day pictures

Getting ready for bed

Wendy climbed up with PJ one morning and started watching shows on the kid phone. PJ took the opportunity to get some extra shut eye!

Putting his mug to work at work.

Mommy bath!

Lilly was saying "no picture!"

Until she could see herself.

Another pool day

And Wendy started swimming on her own!

It was a very exciting day!

Easy like a Sunday Morning

And then out for a walk in the wagon!

Lilly was actually "hiding" from a boy sitting behind us. As long as she had her sunglasses, she was not curled up in a ball hiding from the boy.

Then, for the last week in June, Wendy was at soccer camp!

When she got home after the first day she was in a pretty sour mood so I started telling her to "wipe it off" meaning wipe off her frown.

She thought it was pretty funny!

Cheese!

Doing some drills

Making crafts

Action shot!

Goal!

Her coaches said she did really well keeping up with the older kids (5 year olds).

She loved it!

Her team for the week.

Our anniversary fell on a Thursday this year so we planned a date for Friday while I cooked something special the night of.

So that I could focus, PJ took the girls out to get me some presents!

Finished product: Mustard coated pork tenderloin on top of a goat cheese polenta with a zinfindel-balsamic glaze on top. It was a replica of a dish we had on our honey moon in Disney World!

Chocolate cake, anyone?

While Wendy was at soccer camp, Lilly and I went window shopping. She really enjoyed this camp chair!

Now for the big celebration! PJ took me out to Eddie V's Seafood downtown. They decorated our table with rose petals and gave us a "Happy Anniversary" card!

PJ looking sly

His dessert came on fire!

I loved that they wrote "Happy Anniversary" on our plates.

Here's to our 10 year anniversary!

The next morning was Lilly's 2nd birthday!

The girls woke up silly and ready to party

After my run, We went on a family "nature walk" at a park nearby.

Lilly was happy she got to swing afterwards.

During Lilly's nap, Wendy helped me make cupcakes for Lilly's party.

Wendy likes to "help" the same way PJ does....

When Lilly woke up, she got a glimpse of her presents!

But we had to get to the pool to let our friends into the gate.

We had Chikfila chicken nuggets for dinner!

Along with Chocolate cupcakes filled with whipped cream and topped with a chocolate buttercream.

I think it's safe to say Lilly enjoyed them!

Then we got to open some presents at the pool.

Moana microphone!

And a Moana doll!

What could be inside this one?

A little people train! She kept saying "Will you open it please? I want to play with it"

Once we got back home, it was present central!

She got a Lady and the Tramp play set.

What could it be?

A Disney Princess Racing set!

She was jumping up and down....

Then a farm -themed little people set

And some bath toys!

A hat (so she and sister don't have to fight over the other one anymore)

And playing with the toys! Lilly kept this microphone on repeat all night. "See the line where the sky meets the sea..."

Of course Wendy wanted a turn.

And we forgot! Wendy picked out and wrapped a present for Lilly too!

It was a ball and an airplane.

Matching Dorothy shoes!

Happy Birthday Lilly!
