W&L January 2019

PJ thought he had to go back to work January 1st. Turns out, he was the only one.

It has been rainy and cold in Texas it feels like for months so I took the girls for some indoor fun.

Lilly playing with her friend Maddie.

Lunch time!

When Wendy had some friends over, she decided to crumble up a big square of Styrofoam to make it "snow" in her room. She was pretty proud of it! Until I asked her to vacuum it up. Here she is yelling "No! Noooooo!"

I finally hung up the girls wall decorations they got for Christmas. Wendy's completed room!

Lilly's completed room!

Wendy has always loved to help me in the kitchen but I have not been cooking as much recently. So, one night when I didn't have the energy to cook, Wendy made "soup". I put out some ingredients for her to combine in water with a spatula and she made soup!

She was so proud but upset when we didn't want to eat it. The main component was cumin. Lots and lots of cumin. The vacuum still smells of cumin.

PJ took the girls on a nature walk.

While I went running with the doggie.

Wendy got a little jealous of Lilly riding in the hiking back pack so she asked for a turn.

PJ said she was definitely heavier!

Then we were off to a hike to enjoy some good weather.

We could see PJ's office from the trail!

We got to see this fun waterfall.

I gave it a try to carry Lilly on my back for a little bit. She has gotten heavier too!

Wendy was tired by the end of our hike. Mission accomplished!

Goofing off in church.

Another day, more exploring.

Wendy started dance this semester hosted by her Preschool. Here, the girls are trying on the new leotards!

Playing at the park.

Lilly was belting out some random song to the rest of the neighborhood. It was hilarious!

Wendy posing with her ride.

We love it when it's nice outside!

Wendy wanted to play in the backyard when I had to start making dinner. I have no idea what she is doing but she was having fun!

Then, when daddy got home, they all made peanut butter blossoms together. I think the girls helped with the peanut butter....

Lilly doesn't take naps often anymore but every once and a while she needs them. I went in to wake her up to go get Wendy from Preschool and this is how I found her. She's so sweet!

Loving on Baxter.

I was working on cleaning the kitchen one day and Wendy wanted to help. She not only sprayed the table and chairs, but started cleaning the walls too!

Then she wanted to help with dinner so I told her she could make the green beans. (I dumped a can of green beans in a pot and put the heat on low for her to stir) She wanted to start adding spices but I made sure to hide the cumin.

So excited to help Daddy clean the church!

On our way to another hike and Lilly passed out. If she's in the car after 12, chances are she will fall asleep for a little bit.

On the trail!

Wendy throwing rocks into the river. The water is really high right now so it's flowing pretty quickly.

Bouldering a little bit.

Giving Lilly a ride!

She eventually wanted out though.

Playing in the park.

It's hard to get one on one time with the girls when were all together all the time so, when our Amazon packages arrived with some of our cruise goodies, Wendy and I went into my closet to reveal them. Here, she's trying on her first pair of (clip on) earrings!

We got the girls wetsuits for the cruise just in case the water was chilly.

Entertaining the girls at a trampoline park!

Once Lilly saw the arcade games, she didn't want to jump anymore.

Then, when we got home, there were more cruise goodies that came! (goggles)

While on a run with Baxter, I found this Cairn!

We took the girls to see their babysitter on stage in a high school production of Mama Mia! Wendy loved it!

Lilly didn't make it.

But on our way home, we passed a Wendy's and decided to let Wendy in on the secret that she has her own store. She was so excited!

As we left, all the cashier's yelled "Bye Wendy!!"

Wendy trying on the Santa suit for next year.

Enjoying a random 70 degree afternoon and pulling her new Grinch doll in the wagon.

This girl and her trees!

I took the girls to the mall for some indoor playing fun and they were showcasing this Tesla. Yeah, I'll take one of those please!

Lilly being cleaver trying to climb up in the mouse ear.

And boom! Both of them fell asleep afterwards while we were on our way to a friend's house.

Wendy made a long train track and was so proud, she wanted me to send a picture of it to her best friend at preschool.

Clean playroom! And Cinderella too!

Wendy made this pizza! I mixed the dough but then I put a little bit on parchment for her to roll out by herself, put sauce on, and sprinkle cheese on top. She's going to be the next Top Chef!

Wendy dressed up her new bear- Strawberry- in Wendy's fancy jewelry. She's so creative!
