W&L May 2019

In true el nino fashion, we have had lots of rainy and cloudy days. One day when we were stuck inside, we had full on princess dress up where I did the girls' make up and hair. We have Moana!
Ariel!

"Part of your world..."

Belle sees something interesting in the mirror...

And Cinderella lost her shoe.

On one clear Sunday, we took advantage and went to the pool! The water was a little cold but the girls didn't seem to mind.

Caught in a rain storm

Jeff came to visit us in the beginning of May and is staying for a while. It has been nice having an extra pair of hands around! The girls also wanted to decorate some pictures for him so that he would feel welcome.

My first attempt at braiding Lilly's hair. She asked me to braid it for her and then, an hour later, took the braids out.

Jeff is quite the supplement mixologist.

Muffins with moms at Wendy's preschool!

They sang some really sweet songs and then we got to have muffins with them.

Back home to a dance party with Lilly.

Wendy had her last soccer game of the spring season and then we rushed over to a friend's birthday party. Here, Lilly is playing school at Locomotion.

We won a visit from some very special princesses!

Elsa and Belle came over to do a craft with the girls and some of their friends and also tell the girls they were going to Disney on Ice the next day. Courtesy of Pop!

These ladies are the same ones that came to Wendy's birthday party a year and a half ago and babysit Wendy and Lilly from time to time. The very next day the girls saw them in church but did not recognize them as former princesses. They love their Ms. Paige!

Happy Mother's Day to me!

And then off to Disney on Ice for the kiddos.

Wendy planted a bean seed in her preschool class and, once it grew big enough, she brought it home to plant in our backyard.

She was so proud of herself and continues to check on her little plant making sure it has enough water.

Wendy had her dance recital! She danced to 3 songs and beamed the whole time.

She was so proud to receive flowers after her performance.

Wendy's bestie Melody.

She was so proud, in fact, she wanted them to stay in her room on her bedside table.

The next day we went for a walk to the park and Lilly passed out in the stroller. I didn't have the heart to wake her so she sat in the stroller in the garage for about 30 minutes finishing out her nap.

Final donut date of the school season!

Park day!

We took Pop to get some legit Texas BBQ.

Then we walked around town and found there was a restaurant named Lilly's! It was even spelled the right way! Lilly of course wanted to go in to her establishment but, once inside, we found it was actually a bar and I think the owner was just as confused as we were as to why we were there. When we explained the name significance, she was very touched and gave the girls popcicles!
Then, we saw a store named "Wendy R"! We couldn't believe that Wendy and Lilly had their own stores in this cute little town.

Afterwards, the girls were very excited to go to "the castle" aka the capitol of this small town. Lilly could not accept that we could not go in to the castle since it was closed for the weekend. I don't think any princesses live here kiddo...

Wendy offering her love in kisses.

With Wendy's preschool coming to an end, I decided to do a little at home preschool over the summer. The box I ordered came with all these posters so Wendy helped me set up our little school!

Last day of preschool for Wendy! Wendy has grown so much both physically and mentally. She will miss her preschool over the summer but is excited to return with Lilly in tow in the fall!

First day of mommy preschool!

The theme for the month is Cooking in the Kitchen so the girls made these cute chef hats...

And we got busy in the kitchen making cupcakes.

Then, on another day of preschool, we went on a field trip to PJ's work to check out the cafeteria at Apple.

They were very accommodating and let Wendy get behind the salad bar to make PJ's salad.

Wendy was very proud of herself!

We let PJ get back to work and Pop, the girls and I explored the hotel that's next to Apple.

A rare kiddo cuddle. I can usually get them in the morning for about 5 minutes.

On the way to the beach! A road trip in Texas can't happen without stopping at Bucees. And Lilly has developed a love for their little beaver mascot.

Wendy posing with Bucees.

This is how we were in the car for the 4 hour drive. You can barely see Baxter's head poking up from the back as well. The things we do for a family vacation to the beach!

Our beach house was very cozy with all the amenities you could need.

Jeff being our model.

We went out to eat at a place called Moby Dicks and we were not impressed. But, it was nice to get out of the car!

The next day Baxter and I went on a run to the beach and he wasn't sure what to think of the water rushing up at him.

After the run, we all got set up at the beach!

Jeff had his coffee so all was good.

Wendy absolutely loved the beach and didn't want to get out of the water.

Lilly did not care for the beach and continually asked if we could go home.

Back at our beach house, chilling out on the balcony.

Fancy dinner night!

Up and ready to go to the beach the next day!

Lilly warmed up to the beach... as long as she had her water shoes and goggles on.

Baxter was happy to be with us as well.

Even though he was sunburned, Pop joined us on the beach too.

After the beach and some lunch, we found this cool play ground!

It's not every day you get to play at a playground overlooking the beach.

We were all pretty beat so we went back to the house for chill time. The girls thought it was so cool there was a TV in their room.

The last day at the beach, PJ joined me for my morning run.

Fun family time at the beach!

Making Lilly into a mermaid.

Once we showered and packed up, we were back on the road to go home. With a stop at Bucees of course and Lilly could not have been happier.

Hanging out with friends.

And water balloons with Pop!

Wendy's teacher uploaded the last of the pictures from Wendy's preschool as well:

The plants they grew that Wendy later planted in our back yard.

Wendy making a construction tool belt.

The teachers never said anything about this but I guess there was a Cinco de Mayo celebration at her school!

Moving sand with construction trucks.

Lunch time picnics since the weather is finally nice!

Wendy and her bestie, Melody.

For show and tell she was supposed to bring a vehicle. She chose the princess carriage of course!

Playing with her friend Lou Lou

Happy graduation day!
