W&L November 2019

November had plenty of warm sunny days for us to play outside and climb trees!

Safety first!

Wendy still loves to take rides in the wagon... even though she might be a little too big.

What's a Texas birthday without a pinata??

We did an activity where I asked the girls to draw our family. Wendy came up with a story in which everyone in our family had a boo boo and was sad. 

She thought it was a really funny story. 

I found this idea to make plates for Christmas out of dollar store glass plates and fabric. I was so pleased with how it turned out!

I went thrift store shopping with Wendy and she saw this old horsey toy. I realized we had never bought her anything like this so she was pretty smitten with it! (We left it at the store though)

For some Christmas presents, I made these embroidered Texas'! I love how they turned out. 

On Friday's, Wendy does not have preschool so I ask her what she wants to do with me that day while Lilly is at preschool. This particular Friday, she wanted to bake. I do not think she realized what baking for four hours was going to look like! We made chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip muffins, and an apple cake with an Irish Creme glaze to go over it. We delivered this plate to a friend before we picked Lilly up from preschool. 

It looks like Wendy is in jail but she's actually in her Sunday School class giving the prayer!

The girls convinced PJ to participate in putting the jewelry on too. 

Picking Wendy and Lilly up from dance one day and Lilly loved this little costume she was wearing. I convinced her to take it off only if I took a picture of her wearing it.

The next day was Lilly's Thanksgiving presentation.

Since I was alone for Lilly's presentation and feast, I told the girls if we skipped the dessert table at the feast, we could go get Gelato. They were all for it!

We saw this cut out of Will Ferrell and the girls thought it was sooo funny. 

For a date, PJ and I went on a hike.

It was fun!

That afternoon, Lilly was invited to a birthday party at a fire station. 

Wendy came along and everyone had a great time!

We got through all the popcorn in the popcorn box and Wendy thought it would make a great mask. Gotta love those cardboard boxes!

My project for November was painting our half bathroom downstairs. I love how it turned out!

Wendy decided to make a mask out of paper too... It was a little terrifying. 

On a different Mommy & Wendy day, Wendy wanted to go get donuts. We had to bring some back for PJ and Lilly, of course.

We told the girls we were going to go see Frozen 2 and they were so excited!

We got to go to the dine in theatre that had reclining seats. It was a fun family nite out!

I finally finished Wendy's onesie quilt. It was not my favorite project to do but I was happy with how it turned out!

It was a lovely 80 degree day so we took a walk to the Starbucks in our neighborhood. The girls were treated with cake pops.

Thanksgiving with friends! Our friends smoked the turkey with this bacon weaved around it. It was delicious. 

Wendy had a little bit too much fun on the trampoline and rolled her ankle. She was trying to be brave and push through but we finally had to couch her when we saw it was swollen. 

The girls got to put a tree in their own room (in hopes they wouldn't mess with mine too much). Lilly was very proud of her little tree!

Poor Lilly got sick shortly after Thanksgiving and would only sleep with a cold rag on her head. Luckily it only lasted for about a day.
