W&L May 2022

We're still here- giving PJ a hair cut!

One of those "tell me you have kids without telling me you have kids" kind of pictures

Baxter's still here too! He gets a raw hide bone every Monday and he knows when it's Monday.

Remember those dinner guests we had in April? Todd got the girls some gifts- stuffed animals to add to their collection!

I got to sit in on each of the girls' dance classes and caught Wendy working on her splits!

Having lunch with Lilly at school! (We can't eat with them in the cafeteria so we have to sign them out of school and eat with them at the picnic tables outside)

Another pool day and, this time, it looks like with ice cream!

In preparing for our Family Cruise, Baxter needed to go to our friend's house. All we had to say to him is "Are you ready to see Cocoa?" and he was ready to go!

Finally on the cruise ship and having lunch in the main dining room!

We were so fancy....

Yup, still here!

Our day started at 5:00 to be able to pack up the car and drive to the port. Then the navigating the terminal to get on. Then lunch. Then checking out the room to finally be pool side. Vacation can begin!

The kiddos loved this water feature on the cruise (the main reason we chose this ship)!

Once we started going, the kids were amazed at the wind speed!

Token "looking out at the water" cruise picture.

The girls kept that 5:00 a.m. wake up schedule for a couple of days. Thank goodness for iPads to keep them quiet while our neighbors slept!

Ice cream by the pool can get... messy...

The second night was "fancy night" complete with photo backdrops. Lilly loved this couch and insisted she wanted just her in the picture. (I'll post the finished picture below!)

Wendy got in on the action too.

We didn't find out until we were on the ship that they were not offering the option to take the kids to the Adventure Ocean during dinner so the kiddos had to sit through the whole 2 hour dinner with us each night. We opted for the buffet once or twice and made sure to bring our phones for them to play on. Lilly also brought Rainbow Llama and helped her eat her veggies.

On the beach in Cozumel!

We bought A-LOT of chocolate from the Mayan chocolate store. The girls enjoyed their marshmallow pop covered in chocolate and sprinkles.

Wendy also purchased this flute in Cozumel which we let her play on our balcony.

Lilly loved the clear elevators.

And we looked forward to seeing which towel animal we were going to get each night!

Mini golf!

The Grand Cayman required us to put masks on on the tender boat... but only on the tender boat...

That 5 a.m. wake up schedule caught up with Lilly while we were on our bus ride from the port to our excursion. I asked the bus driver to just keep the bus running so Lilly could have a nice little nap.

When we got off the bus we went exploring to try to find the rest of our group and found this fun tree swing...

We found an Island Cat...

And a play ground! Once everyone got out of a theatre where they learned the history of this site we were visiting, we were back on the bus and on to our main excursion!

Swimming with sea turtles!

We got into a wading pool so we could touch the smaller turtles.

And then got to go snorkeling to swim with the turtles!

Lilly loved chasing the chickens on the island but learned not to chase a momma hen with her chicks.

Nifty little waterfall near the waterslides!

And Lilly found another play ground.

We were a little late getting back to the bus so we got the isle seats. Probably appropriate since we were the only ones with kiddos.

This was the night we had a buffet dinner. After that, we whisked the kids off to Adventure Ocean so PJ and I could rest.

Our last port was Jamaica!

We went on these bamboo rafts down the Martha Brae river.

Lilly and I were rowed by Johnson. He was a great guide!

He even let her drive for a little bit.

PJ and Wendy were close behind.

We had so much fun and look forward to going back to Jamaica again!

Back in the main dining room, we asked our waiters for some peanut butter. Lilly lives off peanut butter and hadn't had any for a couple days. This peanut butter smash reset her and we were grateful to our waiters!

The kiddos also got the hang of ordering "whatever you want" so here is Wendy's ice cream sundae with cookies.

Back in the room to enjoy our elephant!

We also got to see an ice skating show- at sea!

Wendy bought another flute in Jamaica and she walked around the track with me blowing it to her heart's content.

She also braved the rock climbing wall. 13 stories above the water moving 20 mph, she climbed to the very top!

PJ catching a *moment* of relaxation.

Back in our room to find a monkey!

Chocolate fondue.

We also got the opportunity to ice skate!

We made sure to catch a picture with our waiters. They worked hard! Especially to help us find something Lilly would eat.

Sunset at sea.

And here's Lilly in all her glory on the red couch!

Wendy's choice were these fancy stairs.

Everybody smile!

Another one of Lilly on the red couch.

The girls together!

And Wendy on the red couch.

The first thing Lilly did when we got home was to get in full "Audrey" gear and get on her iPad. Getting back to real life after being waited on hand and foot on the cruise is hard!

Back at school for a tea time with mom in Wendy's class.

Now to set up for Lilly's birthday part with friends! She wanted a Princess Peach party theme so I did my best to theme the food (and include all her favorites)

(Peanut butter sandwiches)

Cheesy poofs.

Marshmallows

Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting!

Baxter exemplifies how we all felt!

Completely unprovoked, PJ came downstairs dressed as a prince for his little princess.

Waiting for the Princess by coloring!

Princess Peach is here!

Lilly was crowned for her coronation.

Parachute games.

Face painting.

Royal portraits

Aaaand the Last Day of School!

First Day/Last Day

First Day/ Last Day

Celebratory bike ride with daddy.

Dance recital weekend! We attended 3 recitals and two dress rehearsals.

Wendy watching patiently during Lilly's recital.

Lilly's tap dance.

And then her ballet dance.

Then it was Wendy's turn!

Wendy's tap dance.

And then her jazz dance!

Her musical theater dance was our favorite.

Lilly cheering on her sister!

All done! Ready for summer!

First official pool trip of the summer!
