Every once in a while, Wendy will announce she's holding Lilly's hand while in the car. We caught it on camera!

I tell Wendy all the time "up the stairs, down the slide" but I've given up. When all the other kids are climbing up the slides, she doesn't understand why she shouldn't.

Wendy loves "Daniel Tiger Neighborhood" and, in one episode, Daniel hurts his ankle. So Wendy started pretending her ankle was hurt and needed it wrapped. 

One night, PJ was working late so we walked down to this park that was close to the apartment and ate dinner. This is how Wendy was getting on the bridge...

I took the girls to a place called "hoppin house" and this was all Wendy wanted to play with. I finally had her go potty and then could justify getting her candy.

Wendy made this tie for PJ at a library story time we went to. It reads "World Greatest Dad!" PJ wore it to church on Father's Day.

We have been working on trying to potty train Wendy for a while now. She is very good at using the potty and staying dry in public, but when we're home, she doesn't like to stop what she's doing and go. So after the 2nd time she took off her diaper and peed the bed overnight in the apartment (the furniture was loaners and there was no barrier on the bed people!) I told her that if she did it again, she would have to sleep in the crib like a baby. Well, she took off her diaper, so she spent nap time in the crib.

I usually leave the house with the girls every day, plan activities for them, make them breakfast (oatmeal or eggs), but some mornings, I just want to lay in bed. So when they woke up, we laid in bed and watched shows :). 

Wendy was really interested in the handicapped chair that was by the pool.

She is also becoming a pro at swimming with her floaties!

Lilly thought the drawer under the oven was really interesting. Especially while I was cooking!

Our anniversary was a little underwhelming this year with having moved and still waiting on our stuff to arrive from Idaho but the legend goes that 9 years means leather so I went to Coach to get PJ something leather. He returned it and bought an Apple Watch instead!

We actually had our things moved in on Lilly's birthday so, after a day of unpacking and sorting, the best we could do was buy her a cake and eat it with Papa John's birthday. 

She didn't seem to mind!

But I was able to get the playroom set up for Lilly's birthday.

We decided to have a belated birthday celebration for Lilly on July 4th. 

I made yellow cake with cinnamon buttercream. Topped with sprinkles and candles, of course.

I think you could say she liked it. 

We attempted a bike ride, but it was sooo hot.

There are these banks all over Austin and we weren't really sure what they were for until we had a rainstorm one day. This thing was almost full of water! And it's about 8 feet or so deep!

The girls and I tried to attend a symphony event downtown. 

It was a bit of a bust. 

I also took them to a splash pad and wasn't sure they would get in the water. They both jumped right in!

Back at the apartment, letting Wendy watch shows on my computer. Lilly, of course, wanted to see what she was doing.
