What a busy month! These pictures are a little scattered, but you'll get the idea! Enjoy!
Every once in a while, Wendy will announce she's holding Lilly's hand while in the car. We caught it on camera! |
Wendy loves a show called "Hi-5" and we were dancing around, being action heros! |
Pool side! |
The zombies are coming! |
Lilly exploring a playground. |
I tell Wendy all the time "up the stairs, down the slide" but I've given up. When all the other kids are climbing up the slides, she doesn't understand why she shouldn't. |
Swinging! |
Silly Lilly. She wasn't super happy, but it cracked me up too much to not take a picture. |
Wendy loves "Daniel Tiger Neighborhood" and, in one episode, Daniel hurts his ankle. So Wendy started pretending her ankle was hurt and needed it wrapped. |
One night, PJ was working late so we walked down to this park that was close to the apartment and ate dinner. This is how Wendy was getting on the bridge... |
Eating corn dogs! |
"CHEESE!!!" |
Unexpected Father's day present from Carvanna, where PJ bought his new car! |
They were still warm when they were delivered... |
I took the girls to a place called "hoppin house" and this was all Wendy wanted to play with. I finally had her go potty and then could justify getting her candy. |
There was a little baby play place for Lilly to play in. |
Wendy finally playing. |
Sliding down! Woo Hoo! |
Such a good climber. |
Us leaving the apartment. We certainly got looks from all the single working professionals living there. |
When at a park, bury yourself in rocks! |
Oh, Lilly. |
Lilly crawling around with a floatie! |
Wendy made this tie for PJ at a library story time we went to. It reads "World Greatest Dad!" PJ wore it to church on Father's Day. |
Ride 'em cowgirl! |
We have been working on trying to potty train Wendy for a while now. She is very good at using the potty and staying dry in public, but when we're home, she doesn't like to stop what she's doing and go. So after the 2nd time she took off her diaper and peed the bed overnight in the apartment (the furniture was loaners and there was no barrier on the bed people!) I told her that if she did it again, she would have to sleep in the crib like a baby. Well, she took off her diaper, so she spent nap time in the crib. |
Swimming at a friend's house. |
I usually leave the house with the girls every day, plan activities for them, make them breakfast (oatmeal or eggs), but some mornings, I just want to lay in bed. So when they woke up, we laid in bed and watched shows :). |
Wendy was really interested in the handicapped chair that was by the pool. |
She is also becoming a pro at swimming with her floaties! |
Lilly thought the drawer under the oven was really interesting. Especially while I was cooking! |
Wendy taking a bow (you can just barely see her foot stuck out behind her). |
Oatmeal for Sunday breakfast! |
Daddy Wendy selfie. |
PJ's new car! |
It's electric (nah nah nah nah nah nah nah) |
Our new home! |
Eating super hero ice cream for Father's Day BBQ |
Lilly cheesin' it up. |
CHEESE! |
The man of the hour. |
Action shot! |
Our anniversary was a little underwhelming this year with having moved and still waiting on our stuff to arrive from Idaho but the legend goes that 9 years means leather so I went to Coach to get PJ something leather. He returned it and bought an Apple Watch instead! |
Happy 9th Anniversary bud! |
He did get me flowers though!! |
Baxter likes to climb under the bed to get away from the kids but Lilly has started chasing him under there. |
And finally! Our stuff!! |
Oh Wendy and her Cheese face... |
We actually had our things moved in on Lilly's birthday so, after a day of unpacking and sorting, the best we could do was buy her a cake and eat it with Papa John's birthday. |
She didn't seem to mind! |
Neither did Wendy |
But I was able to get the playroom set up for Lilly's birthday. |
Bubbles! |
We decided to have a belated birthday celebration for Lilly on July 4th. |
I made yellow cake with cinnamon buttercream. Topped with sprinkles and candles, of course. |
Wendy helped Lilly blow out the candles. |
I think you could say she liked it. |
We attempted a bike ride, but it was sooo hot. |
Swimming at another neighborhood pool. |
Lilly was shoving short bread cookies into her mouth. |
Dance party! |
There are these banks all over Austin and we weren't really sure what they were for until we had a rainstorm one day. This thing was almost full of water! And it's about 8 feet or so deep! |
The girls and I tried to attend a symphony event downtown. |
It was a bit of a bust. |
I also took them to a splash pad and wasn't sure they would get in the water. They both jumped right in! |
Back at the apartment, letting Wendy watch shows on my computer. Lilly, of course, wanted to see what she was doing. |
Lilly getting some snacks! |
PJ's view from work. |
The hotel right across the parking lot. |
Wendy got a little bored while we were shopping for furniture so she decided to "go to sleep".
Wendy has loved playing in the playroom- especially cooking for everyone. |
Lilly playing at Chick fil a |
Lilly's birthday Sunday dress! The same one Wendy wore when she turned one. Trying to recreate a birth picture. |
Lilly playing at church. |
The rare moment of Wendy and Lilly playing together! |
Wendy making her grand entrance to go to church.
Lilly napping before church. |
Wendy serving dinner. "Be careful, REALLY hot!" |
Wendy modeling her candy bracelet. |
