W&L November 2022

Lilly has taken a liking to helping me with laundry. Not all the time, but we're impressed when she jumps right in! Here she is putting everything in the washer into the dryer.

Then she loaded up the washing machine, added all the detergents, and pressed "go"!

On Veterans Day, the girls' school invited grandparents to come in and spend time in the classroom.

Our dear friend Jan Mason agreed to be surrogate Grandma for the day!

The girls were thrilled!

The Veterans Day assembly was special as well.

In a total comedy of errors, we planned a Farmer's Market for me, a daddy/daughter camp out for the girls and PJ and a dance convention for Wendy all within 24 hour. The Farmer's Market was OK....

Camping was OK.... (it was really cold!)

And Wendy got to her dance convention OK....

She is in the far left almost out of the picture in the pink shirt. She said it was exhausting but she did it!

Home and playing with friends at a park!

The Primary Program is always a favorite!

Wendy asked me at some point to teacher her how to cook so we started making dinner together every Tuesday. This day we made chicken and a basil cream sauce with fettuccini and broccoli.

I mostly handled the meat and she's cutting up the sun dried tomatoes here.

It was delicious!

For Thanksgiving, Lilly's class put on a Thanksgiving play. It was adorable!

The turkey even showed up!

Lilly was one of the narrators and did a great job!

I finished all my cookie orders for Thanksgiving and had these left over. The girls enjoyed "painting" them and then...

We were off to Galveston for our Thanksgiving cruise!

Unlimited rides on the carousel meant we rode the carousel a lot!

The back of the ship where they have water shows a couple nights on the cruise.
Wendy all geared up to go on the zip line!

The view from below!

I had read on one of the cruise tip blogs to bring bubbles to blow at departure. Only, it was super windy and the bubbles that did come out blew directly on everyone beside us!

The first night we were able to see the ice show. The girls were mesmerized!

The next morning we all went to the spa to have our nails done.

This was a really cool lounging space too!

Our first day out to sea was a little chilly so the girls swam in their wetsuits.

Caught by PJ taking selfies!

The girls loved that they could order chocolate ice cream with dinner every night.

Posing on the "boardwalk".

Delighted to come back to the room to find a towel animal!

Balconies are a nice way to watch the water pass by without all the noise of the pool decks.

Back on the carousel!

And rock climbing!

Even Grinchie got in on the board photos!

We got to see a parade at sea

And did I mention unlimited ice cream!?

Lilly got brave and participated in Karaoke

And we got to get off the ship to explore Honduras!

We went to a nature park where a lot of the animals are free roaming. We got to take turns "holding" this macaw.

And waited patiently for the chance to "hold" the monkies...

Meanwhile Wendy had a chance to hold ANOTHER snake...

And PJ had a turn too.

We crossed a couple rope bridges

And Lilly loved chasing the jungle cats.

It was finally time! PJ's dream come true!

And then another Monkey jumped on his head!

Wendy had a turn too.

Back on the ship and ready to set sail!

On Thanksgiving, the kids club hosted Thanksgiving-themed crafts for us to do. Wendy and I made a wreath.

Lilly made an alien turkey...

We finally got to see the diving show!

And then Mama Mia

Our last stop was Cozumel.

Lilly had fun playing in the sand and Wendy had fun on all those inflatables behind her. It is a small world after all because we found one of Wendy's school friends not only on the cruise but on the same excursion we were on! They played the whole time and it did Wendy some good.

On the Catamaran to get back to the ship, we had a dance party complete with the chicken dance.

All dressed up in our Christmas finest to go take pictures for our Christmas cards!

And the last day of the cruise we were able to ice skate.

Merry Christmas!

Back to life means I have to cook dinner as opposed to having it delivered to me every night. Here, Wendy and I are making spaghetti.
