W&L September 2022

Nature hike with the daddy-o!

We always love when Cocoa gets to come stay with us. She is a little more energetic than Baxter but she's so sweet!

Labor Day shenanigans- playing in an indoor play ground close to the house!

Lilly loves this virtual "ride".

Bumper cars with Evangeline!

Lilly was scared to do it by herself so she sat on my lap.

She's a little too big but I'll let her sit as long as she fits!

Every Friday at the girl's school, they have mass and each grade takes a turn hosting. Wendy was able to read one of the prayers and the whole second grade sang so well!

Bike rides with the dadd-o!

Building a fort in the forest!

The girls' school also hosted a New Family Dinner where we were able to meet up with other new families and get to know some of the parents of the kiddos in the girls' classes.  The upper school kiddos offered face painting.

It was scorching hot outside so once Wendy started sweating off her face paint she looked... a little scary.

Parts of our Halloween costumes started to arrive! Wendy miss trying on PJ's monkey nose.

One of our last pool days we found a baby float and I put Wendy in it. She kind of still fit! And thought it was hilarious.

Close to my birthday I got to see one of my favorite musicals: Hadestown!

It was fantastic. Such a great musical!

Later in the month, it was Lilly's turn (for first grade) to host Mass. Lilly was able to read a prayer and the first grade sounded lovely singing!

We wanted to support Wendy's friend Evangeline at one of her last soccer games so we surprised her! The girls thought it was super boring but Evangeline was happy to have someone to play with when she was taking breaks on the bench.

Lilly in her element...

They love getting on this saucer swing and being spinned until they can't walk straight!

For crazy hair day during Homecoming, I pulled together the resources we had at the house to make the craziest hair we could dream up.

I "glued" on sprinkles onto Wendy's hair with honey.

She said by the end of the day she was handing the sprinkles out to friends to eat as a snack.

For my birthday I met up with friends and tried out cake at a local bakery! The cake was delicious and the conversation was great!

We ended the month with a Carnival at the girls' school. It was hot. Like too hot to be Fall in September. But the girls had a blast!

There were inflatables...

A petting zoo...

And a rock wall!

The next day was "angel day" at school where the girls dressed in all white and wore halos.

Every once and a while they still have sleep overs (in each others' rooms) too.
